Education & Training
The Material Handling Industry's commitment to education and training is primarily addressed by the three organizations below. Each of them provide educational resources and/or assistance supporting the advancement of material handling logistics education.
The Material Handling Institute's educational initiatives and innovative programming, including conferences, seminars and workshops date back to 1945. The Institute has continued the traditions begun many years before, while at the same time adding a number of important new programs.
The College Industry Council on Material Handling Education designs, develops and distributes resources for material handling education and training. Click on the CICMHE logo for information on resources (lecture notes, case studies, etc.) and events (design competition, Teacher's Institute, Research Colloquium, etc.).
The Material Handling Education Foundation's history of supporting the study of material handling dates back to 1976. Although scholarships to students pursuing a college education are the main focus of the Foundation, other grants are made available from time to time in support of specific programming needs.
